Design Supply Chain

The design supply chain is everything involved in the process that takes the idea of whats needed through to its final production.  It is where the custormer comes up with an idea of what they want and tell the designer either by phone call, email or a design brief. The designer will then go through the design process finding additional information if it is needed, like photographs etc. and then 'proof' this design and send it to the custormer. This proof is what the final product will look like, and so the customer can check if anything wants changing or if there are any errors, also in case the customer agrees to something and changes their mind later this proof is evidence of what the designer sent to the customer. Finally if the customer is happy with this proof, the product can be produced.  This can either be done inhouse or the proof can be sent to the printer/webdeveloper etc. in the appropriate format for production.  The product will then be produce and transported to the customer
